​​LIFT:  Plan to get your LIFT (Learning In Faith Together) for the Fall.  Our theme for this 6 week cycle will be a study of The Lord’s Prayer as a guide to Biblical Spirituality.  Prayer is the most familiar aspect of spirituality.  Using Matthew’s scriptural form, the class will examine The Lord’s Prayer in the context of both the Old and New Testaments. We will explore how Jesus understood the spirituality he inherited and how that impacts our own spirituality.  Rev. Ruth Hope Woodlen will be the class facilitator. ​Join our discussions on Sunday mornings on October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3, and 10. We need you to LIFT us higher.

THE PARABLES OF JESUS:  Jesus communicated deep spiritual truth through simple, vivid and engaging stories.  Woven from the stuff of everyday life, the parables of Jesus made the Kingdom of God understandable and accessible to his listeners.  In six engaging, interactive sessions, the Deeper Connections DVD will give you new insights into His parables and their meanings that are relevant to your own life.  The six sessions are filmed from locations in Israel, the Rocky Mountains, Gloucester Harbor, the California coast, and Chicago's lakefront.  Sept. 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29.  This Bible Study is held on Tuesdays, from 10:00-11:30am in the Zarfoss Library.
